Taking students abroad, bringing international students to the U.S., connecting the two, exploring cultural differences and similarities and being part of the growth that occurs when you immerse students in a new cultural and social environment that allows them to explore their own and other cultures has always captured my attention and passions. I cannot remember a time when I was not interested in traveling. Growing up, I lived in all corners of the U.S. and I took my first trip abroad at fifteen.  Exploring different cultures, learning new languages, and making new friends are what fascinate me most.  Working to promote these kinds of opportunities for students and adults is incredibly motivating and rewarding.  To me, there is nothing more important than education and building understanding among people to ensure a better and more peaceful world for future generations.
